Calabresi Caterina, born in Spoleto on May 10, 1961, moved with her family to Gubbio in 1968, where she lived until 1988. For the past thirty years, she has resided in Gualdo Tadino (PG), where she works as a Teacher of Drawing and Art History at the “Liceo Scientifico Casimiri.”

Entrepreneurial Activities

  • 2010 – Foundation of the company PITSART S.r.l., specialized in the design of fashion accessories that combine food and fashion. The project attracted academic interest and became the subject of university theses in Economics faculties.

  • 2012 – Creation of the brand PASTISSIMA MODA for the company CALAMON S.R.L.S. of Gualdo Tadino, active in the production of fashion accessories in silk and cashmere inspired by the world of food.

  • 2014 – Creation of the brand BELLA BAG ART by Caterina Calabresi, artistic project dedicated to the creation of shopping bags that convey culture.

  • 2015 – Recognition with the National Award “Donne che ce l’hanno fatta”, with medal awarded by the President of the Republic, as part of an initiative promoted by the University of Brescia.

  • 2016 – Launch of the new line of scarves Bella By Caterina Calabresi for the company Cashmere & Co. of Perugia.

Activities with Institutions Outside the School System

  • 2000 – present: Founder and Board Member of the University of Adults of Gualdo Tadino, where she carries out coordination activities and teaches the Art History Course.

  • 2014–2015: President of the INNER WHEEL INTERNATIONAL Association, organizing volunteer projects in support of vulnerable people and women.

  • Since 2013 – present: Collaboration with the Diocesan Museum of Gubbio and the Museum Center of Gualdo Tadino for the presentation of exhibitions by nationally and internationally renowned artists.

  • June 6, 2016: Curator, with the writing of the critical text, of the two-person exhibition Twins-Art by artists Nacha Piattini and Roula Bechara, at the Museum of Santa Maria Nuova in Gubbio in collaboration with the Diocesan Museum.

  • 2014–2016: Presentation of collective exhibitions for the Cultural Association Nautartis (Italy–Japan in 2014, Italy–Uzbekistan in August 2016 in Gubbio).

  • 1986–2010: Teacher of Drawing, Art History, and Cultural Heritage at the Communication High School of the Bambin Gesù Institute of Gualdo Tadino. Among extracurricular tasks: implementation of educational projects, promotion of school activities, relations with administrations and the press.
